David Hersey
David Hersey’s Agile career began in the late 1990s when as a member of the Smalltalk developer community he began experimenting with technical practices such as test-driven development and continuous integration. He was an early advocate of XP and Scrum and has been coaching teams and organizations in Agile practices for 20+ years.
David has seen that scaling Agile frequently results in a larger process, but does not always enable organizations to tap into the power of agility at scale. In 2015 he paused his Agile consulting and immersed himself in community work to discover better ways to empower people, teams and organizations. In 2018, he began to work with other like-minded coaches and leaders to create the Integral Agile approach to scaling Agility using a whole-systems perspective that systematically addresses all aspects of Agility; focusing on processes and tools as well as individual values, culture, and the relationships within and between teams, businesses, and leadership.
He currently leads an Agile consulting practice with international clients that brings all of these elements together to create sustainable Agility at scale.
